retropets stores your username, a password hash, country, birth date, and game progress. your birth date is used for the 13+ age check and is not shown to other players. it cannot be changed through the account form.

registration and latest ip addresses, registration time, last login, last activity, and the last password change are stored privately for account security. last activity updates while you use the site, at most once a minute unless your ip changes. these details are not shown to other players.

your public profile

your username, country flag, pets, visitor notes, visit count, and average rating are public. account balances, your bag, garden, birth date, private note drafts, and gift details are not shown on your public profile. avoid sharing personal details in notes or pet names. profile owners can hide received notes.

cookies and country flags

a session cookie keeps you logged in and protects forms. country flags load from flagcdn, so that service receives your browser's request and ip address. profile links and birth dates are not sent with flag requests. country names remain visible if an image cannot load.
